Sometimes, money is an awkward topic in the ministry as it somehow hits into our core. We all have our own budget to worry about, but you will find it an honor and a privilege to give to God if we have the right attitude. Haven’t you noticed that if a friend of ours celebrate his/her birthday, we were so excited to buy gift and spend money for such occasion? We do it because we know how happy it would make to that friend. Same in giving to God, we should have the same kind of joy and fulfillment. Giving is a demonstration of our commitment to the church, the hands and feet of Christ. Do not give to God if you are being pressured and most importantly, do not give just because you are expecting in return. Your offerings, financially or otherwise, should always begin in your heart. It’s a privilege to be a part of what God is doing and it’s exciting to know that some sacrifice on our part can render huge results for the kingdom of God. Never feel that what you have to contribute is too small, not enough, insignificant. It’s not. What you have is needed. Bring your offering to Jesus and allow Him to multiply it. God wants us to take the love He has given us and give it to others.
