Our heart contains all our desires, motivations, ambitions and passion. We may look happy, simple, jolly on the outside but our hearts represent our “real” whole being – why we say those words, why we feel those emotions and why we act the way we do. We are all created uniquely and we have our own pattern of heartbeat. For some people, a certain situation can be a small deal but for others it is a big one. Some jokes can be just for fun but for others it is offending. God has given us unique emotional heartbeat and it races differently about activities or circumstances. We can be very kind when we need something but the motives in our hearts is being seen by God – we can’t hide anything from Him. You might be smiling now but your real situation cannot be covered by your outside appearance. We should always direct our hearts to where it should go and make sure those interests are from the Lord. Also, let’s guard our hearts and be critical and analytical on what should come in and come out. Fill our hearts with His presence and Words; fill it with love, patience, wisdom and compassion. In that way, the realness of our life will be pleasing to the Lord and it will be contagious to others. As says in Matthew 15:18, the thing that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart. So let’s “take care” of our heart and always speak life.
