Sometimes, there will be a moment that an immediate decision shall be made. We depend on our feelings and the existing knowledge that we have. But God always remind us to take it slow and have a choice that is according to His will. We have free will to choose what kind of decision we will execute but we have to ponder as says in Proverbs 21:29 (The wicked bluff their way through, but the virtuous think before they act).
Maybe today there is a big decision that you will make – a change in career, financial spending, ministry amendments or lifetime partner. I want you to think it over and pray for it and this verse tells us that in everything that we do, we should desire His will and His action plans. Desire is to seek and intentional acceptance of His ways in our lives. We cannot control everything that surrounds us; His ways are perfect and our hearts must be filled with His words to better understand that we have to take the path He has prepared for us. We have to be obedient and follow His will wholeheartedly may it be uncomfortable or not what we originally wanted.
In everything that we do, He should be glorified and be pleased. Desire it, want it, seek it. Are you still clinging into the thought that “you only live once” and use it as an excuse to choose whatever you want despite it is not pleasing to Him? Are you making sure that God is the center of your every actions?
