Just Obey

Just Obey

This verse is very simple yet very powerful – no questions, no hesitations… we must simply do whatever Jesus says to do. Every time we don’t know what to do, God is going test our patience and obedience. In these times, it is wise to do nothing until God reveals to us what to do. But on the moment that He shows it to us – we MUST do it. As we always hear – “understanding can wait, but obedience cannot”. As Proverbs 3:5 says, “do not lean on your own understanding”. We sometimes find ourselves in the situation where we are confused and in doubt yet God already shows you how to respond. If you are in the position now where you don’t know what to do, take it as a great position. It is an opportunity for God to show us what we MUST do and a chance to let Him know that we are willing to obey whatever He tells us to do. God tests us by our faith, but He measures us by our obedience. When we face challenging situations, we have a unique opportunity to demonstrate our love for God through obedience. We are obeying Him not because we know the answer to our “whys” but it is to be known to others that God can be trusted and that we love Him so much (John 14:15 – “If you love Me, keep my commands”).
